The Arc Angel gifts go to children and adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities or Autism who have a need due to limited resources or will not receive gifts from family members, friends, or other supports.
Every year the Supports Coordinators from Lancaster County Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (BHDS) give The Arc a list of individuals’ names that meet that criterion, along with their wishes. Each gift recipient is asked to identify 3 wishes, knowing that they will only receive 2. This extra wish is to help you in case you cannot find one of the wishes.
We review the information and give you a gift shopping list, including 2 pre-made sticker labels. Please attach the pre-made label to each wrapped gift so they can be distributed to the correct Supports Coordinator for delivery to the individual. We will email or call you when your shopping lists are ready. This is typically done around the middle of October. You will have approximately 6 weeks to shop, wrap and deliver gifts back to The Arc.
We ask that wrapped and labeled gifts be returned to The Arc’s office as soon as possible, and no later than Monday December 2nd 2024.
