SUMMARY:The Arc Lancaster Lebanon
DESCRIPTION:The Arc Angel gifts go to children and adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities or Autism who have a need due to limited resources or will not receive gifts from family members\, friends\, or other supports. \nEvery year the Supports Coordinators from Lancaster County Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (BHDS) give The Arc a list of individuals’ names that meet that criterion\, along with their wishes. Each gift recipient is asked to identify 3 wishes\, knowing that they will only receive 2. This extra wish is to help you in case you cannot find one of the wishes. \nWe review the information and give you a gift shopping list\, including 2 pre-made sticker labels. Please attach the pre-made label to each wrapped gift so they can be distributed to the correct Supports Coordinator for delivery to the individual. We will email or call you when your shopping lists are ready. This is typically done around the middle of October. You will have approximately 6 weeks to shop\, wrap and deliver gifts back to The Arc. \nWe ask that wrapped and labeled gifts be returned to The Arc’s office as soon as possible\, and no later than Monday December 2nd  2024. \n Please call or email Amy Austin\, Arc Angel\, Project Coordinator at amy@thearclancleb.org or 717-394-5251 to confirm and share the following: \n\nYour interest in participating in the program for 2024\nNumber of participants for whom you wish to purchase gifts (2 gifts per participant)\nPlease share your current contact information with us\, even if you have participated as an Angel in previous years.\n\n\nName:\nOrganizational Affiliation (if participating as part of a group):\nAddress:\nEmail:\nPhone:

SUMMARY:One World Festival
DESCRIPTION:The One World Festival was born out of a beautiful coincidence\, when on September 22\, 2018\, three vastly different cultures\, Hispanic\, Asian Indian\, and Africans were being celebrated on the same day in different locations around the county. \nOne of the attendees brought that to the attention of the Asian Indian Festival planner\, Deepa Balepur\, who reached out to the other two\, and eventually other local ethnic groups. The seed for the One World Festival was now planted. \nThe initial planning groups are from the Asian Indian\, Greek\, Latin/Hispanic\, African\, Irish\, German\, Italian and Jewish communities. We anticipate and hope to add more as the Festival grows. \nThe One World Festival allows us to share our common values and uniqueness on one day\, and in one place. Acceptance of one another’s traditions is a choice\, and we in the Lancaster County community are joyfully proclaiming our intention to do just that. \nhttps://uwlanc.galaxydigital.com/agency/detail/?agency_id=137033

SUMMARY:Hospice & Community Care's Labor Day Auction

And we are always in need of volunteers with a heavy-duty pickup truck or large vehicle. \nIf you have questions or need additional information\, please Becki Martin at (717) 295-3900 or rmartin@hospicecommunity.org.
